Nima Energy has received support from the Swedish Energy Agency’s call *Regional Electrification pilots for heavy transport* to establish four charging hubds in southern Sweden consisting of a total of 19 chargers wtih a power of at least 350 kW distributed on up to 38 charging points.

The charging hubds will be located in the following locations:

  • Kristianstad, at exit 36 Vä, 6 chargers / up to 12 charging points
  • Skillingaryd, at exit 88 Skillingaryd Norra, 4 chargers / up to 8 charging points
  • Munkedal, at exit 100 Håbymotet, 4 chargers / up to 8 charging points
  • Tindered, at Tindered service area, 5 chargers / up to 10 charging points

Construction will begin in the autumn of 2022 and be completed by the end of September 2023.

The charging infrastructure in Sweden needs to be built out to meet the demands of the rapidly growing electrified vehicle fleet in Sweden. We are therefore very pleased to have the opportunity to start the construction of 19 ultra-fast chargers with support from the Swedish Energy Agency in Kristianstad, Skillingaryd, Munkedal and Tindered. This marks the start of our ambitious expansion plan of ultrafast charging in the Nordic region in the coming years, says Marcus Landelin, CEO and co-owner of Nima Energy AB.

The establishment is an important step in Nima Energy’s growth plan to establish itself as one of the leading players in ultrafast charging in the Nordic region. At present, the project portfolio consists of approximately 450 ultra-fast chargers where Nima has exclusive agreements distributed over approximately 40 sites in Sweden. The ambition is to make investment decisions on at least 200 ultra- fast chargers before the first half of 2023 in parallel with geographical expansion to the Nordic neighboring countries and continued growth of the project portfolio.
