Malmö, 9 July 2026 – The shareholders of Nima Energy AB (“Nima Energy”) have entered into an agreement to sell 100 percent of the shares in Nima Energy to Vattenfall AB (“Vattenfall”).
Since its foundation, Nima Energy has built a strong position in Swedish ultra-fast charging by developing high-capacity charging in cities and along key transport routes, serving both professional drivers, including taxis and fleets, and private EV drivers.
The transaction marks the beginning of the next phase in Nima Energy’s journey. As part of Vattenfall, Nima Energy will gain a long-term strategic and well-capitalised owner with the scale and resources to accelerate the continued build-out of its network and realise the full potential of its strong market position in Sweden.
“It has been an extraordinary journey to build Nima Energy into the company it is today. We are immensely proud of the team, the network and the market position we have created together. We also firmly believe that the next phase can be even more exciting, and that Vattenfall is the right long-term owner to support Nima Energy reach its full potential” says Marcus Landelin, CEO and Co-founder of Nima Energy
“Nima has built an impressive ultra-fast charging network in attractive locations across Sweden, making it a strong addition to Vattenfall InCharge’s existing infrastructure. We are pleased to welcome Nima’s talented employees and look forward to continuing to provide Nima’s customers with the high level of service they expect. Together, we can accelerate the expansion of charging infrastructure and support the growing transition to electric mobility across Sweden,” says Henrik Nordström, Director E-Mobility Nordic at Vattenfall InCharge
The transaction brings together Nima Energy’s focused fast-charging platform and strong roll-out pipeline with Vattenfall’s established e-mobility offering and long-term commitment to enabling fossil-free living, supporting the continued expansion of charging infrastructure and electrification of transport in Sweden.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of required approval from the Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products (Inspektionen för strategiska produkter, ISP). Until closing of the transaction, Nima Energy and Vattenfall will continue to operate as separate and independent companies, with no changes to their respective customer relationships or day-to-day operations as a result of the transaction. The transaction relates to Nima Energy’s Swedish operations, while its operations outside Sweden will remain with the current shareholders.
DNB Carnegie acted as sole financial adviser to the shareholders of Nima Energy. Mannheimer Swartling Advokatbyrå acted as legal adviser to the founders of Nima Energy.
